cam shaft pulley removal ,help!!!

hello folks i am having problems removing the camshaft pulleys on my 2000 ej20 , anyone have any hints as to the easiest way to remove em, I have tried finding a locking kit, but suppoesedly the are a dealer only tool in scotland, any help would be very very very helpfuly cheers and thanks for taking to time to read this!!

cam gears? they are definetly a huge pain!

Cobb offers the tool for $50.

I used a 1 1/8" combination wrench on the hex portion of the cam and an allen wrench in the cam bolt coupled with a long pipe.. They are TIGHT but removable...
