06 wrx 2.5 block

I have a 06 wrx and i want to go rotated with a gt30r .82a/r. Would i be able to run this turbo on my block but with upgraded pistons and rods. would i have to go with the axis stage 2 block. Could i use my 06 wrx heads wiht the axis stage 2?? Would would you guys recomend for this. Thanx

What kind of boost levels are you planning run with the flow out of that GT30R (good turbo)..

with under 20psi or so you should be fine (depending on abuse)

Above 21psi I would suggest at least forged pistons.

An Axis Stage 2 is a nice block but I don't think you need to drop the cash..

Your heads would bolt to an Axis Stage 2 block..

I was planning on 400-450whp. I didnt know that i could run that much power on the stock block.

Ron at Axis will NOT try to sell you what you don't need.. Shoot him a call, he knows the differences between the New 2.5L wrx and the STI block better then I..

i just finished my rebuild on my 06 wrx i have a rotated gp moto turbo a lil bigger than gt30r i got forged pistons weisco 100mm,main and rod barrings,stock rods they hold 600hp and stock heads jus re surfaced them and no problems
