CF hoods may run in excess of ~600

The repair will/can be done for much less.

Congrats on the car.

Thanks we see today

Three grand was estimate btw

That sounds awful high for a non-accident. I would have expected that for hail damage, not a rock truck.

Isshinryu28 10-24-2012 04:20 PM

Well talking at 70 mph and it was dump truck with gravel and I was behind it most estimate from replacing headlights and labor cause lights pitted some. Lights are 700 a peice lol

Isshinryu28 10-24-2012 04:20 PM

Labor was grand

I have seen higher for rock damage. Around here people haul large railroad gravel and they can leave some serious dents in a car. Plus it's a Subaru and they are always expensive...

Isshinryu28 10-24-2012 04:30 PM

Gona repaint fix bumper but def doing cf hood makes sense really maybe cf wing for hatch lol

BLAZE2099 10-24-2012 07:04 PM

Stock hood is lighter than cf, plus it doesn't peel like the cheap 6-800 dollar cf hoods. Your factory hood is aluminum.
Not trying to be a d*ck, just sayin'

Isshinryu28 10-24-2012 07:18 PM

O I'm sure it's more about certain look i love white and carbon and bronze lol Pkis I'm not paying for it anybody know place to get something diff for bumper

Did you quote include reclearing the hood? The coatings that tend to come on fake CF hoods tends to wear/yellow quite fast.

Yea included everything new headlights redo hood bumper paint pearl clear everything and have carbon on my wife 09 tsx actually only one in USA right now just have wax it once month and don't use turtle wax eats through clear so we see

Can we get a picture of this damage? It just seems excessive to me. I've had rock chips pull out in front of my but I've never gotten anything other than paint chips or a miniscule dent. Hell, I've had a truck kick a construction barrel at me and it didn't do any damage.
