Wilmington DE??
Hey I'm currently in the market for a subaru wrx or sti probably buying early next year but wanted to see if there were guys in the area and if there were local subaru clubs?

I'm in the area. There must be tons of people around, I see wrx's everywhere. Are you buying new or used? I bought a '14 from Delaware Subaru, took three months to get it.

Yea man I see them all over too so I knew there had to be people on some forums around here. Im actually buying used im looking for 04-05 STI in Blue but I would get it in silver also. Its the first subaru I fell in love with when I was younger and have always wanted one. I was looking into the newer models like 2008-2010 and I love the way they look and feel but its just something about those blob eyes that get me lol.

There's a couple on craigslist in the area right now that seem reasonably priced. not sure if the model/year suits you. If I can get my bmw sold, I might buy one for my son. There's an 02 bugeye wagon in particular in West Chester. The 08 wrx had a significant reduction in hp/tq, and I find them to be plain looking.

Remember, no matter how excited you are when you're ready to buy, take your time, and don't buy on impulse. There will always be another one !!

Oh ok nice yea ive been pn ebay and autotrader alot looking as far as 150-200 miles away to look at a greater variety. And yea deffinelty not a wagon guy lol. thats what I heard about the 08 so they were never really an option for me either. But thanks for the heads up! :-) thats gotta be fun picking one out for your son I have two but there far from driving yet

i'm not sure if a wrx is the right choice for him right now, but if the right one comes along... i'm thinking a Civic would be more economical, maybe even an si. Good idea expanding your search radius. I bought my current bmw from Florida, my last bmw from Chicago, and my last wrx from north jersey. Patience paid off each time. Oh and my current wrx i bought from Japan haha !

WRX CORKUM777 12-20-2013 03:23 PM

Yea a civic is deffinelty more economic but never have owned one myself. Now about that buying from JAPAN? Wow how did that happen and was it worth it?

poontangler 12-20-2013 09:42 PM

That was a play on words. I ordered the 2014 through the dealership...... built and shipped from Japan obviously.
