cause yesterday i got clowned on by how high my car is and for a while now ive been wanting to lower it. ive herd bad things about coilovers, even tho they seem to be the best rout to go. id like to get some springs that lower the car by 1.5 inches, yet that wont put unnessary wear on my shocks yet have a nice ride quality.

could anyone point me to some springs that are like that? thanks

yesterday i was changing my oil and when i tried to jack my car up i realized the jack wouldnt fit under it. it fit before so i looked at my wheel gap. it looks like it is 1/4 to 1/2 an inch lower than when i got it. it has lowering springs on it with stock struts which are blown. could my springs just be wearing out? and is it safe to drive like that?

The rack on my wagon is hemorrhaging substantially, so it's time to replace/upgrade. Has anybody gone with the older (93-96) FWD rack ? I'm told it has a quicker ratio and can be picked up a lot cheaper than an STI rack. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

I'm a complete noob when it comes to cars suspension so sorry for these all time dumb questions.

what is the difference between coilovers and struts? is a coilover just a better version of a strut? do u just buy coilovers and replace the struts with them or what? or are they two seperate things that the car needs and are both on from factory?

I ask because I think a strut or something is blown on my car (03 wrx) and on right turns it sounds like something is scraping or anytime it need to compress a little bit from a dip or something(sound comes from left rear tire area)

so I want to upgrade them, but need help in the knowledge department of this. What are the best ways to upgrade your suspension little by little besides the ebay h brace(gonna order one soon).

How should the process start? get struts, then coilovers, then sway bar etc?

I drive my car 95 % on the streetm but I do enjoy the dirt roads around my area time to time.
