So I'm looking for a STEALTH back road bomber to make my 20 mile commute to the office via the twisty roads a bit more fun. I'm looking for reliability and not having to mess with my car, but more punch. This car will not be my hobby.

I have a recently purchased totally stock '03 WRX wagon with 37k miles.

So I talked to AWDTuning near Dallas and explained what I wanted - more torque around 3-4k RPM for better drive out of the turns and also a nice rumble from my exhaust - but QUIET. Just a little extra. The car just falls flat on it's face after I shift then it has to build up boots again - and it's no fun unless it's really on the boil at 5k RPM+.

He has a used STI exhaust system laying about that he'd sell me for what I consider cheap. Also a 3 port boost controller and a custom tune along with up/down pipe (I believe). He says that's good for 30+ HP and also a really fat torque curve where I want it.

Thoughts? Other stuff to do while he's in there?

Hey guys, I just wanted to post this question to settle a friendly debate. A friend of mine was trying to explain to me what a proper body shop time line is for a quality job. Ill explain the work that was needed/ done and you guys can tell me how long you think it needs and or how much it could potentially cost.

- New hood and front bumper.
- Both rear quarters were repaired before and done wrong so they were both cut out and new sheet metal done.
- edges around the sunroof were rotted so it was cut out and reformed as well.
- Color change from silver to black.

So what do you guys think ? how long should it for a quality A++ job which puts the car into showroom quality.

P.S this was done all on a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2 door and at a shop with 3 or 4 guys during peak season.

Please note, I am not talking about a CAI, just the flat inlet that takes in air from just below the hoodline, in the front of the engine compartment. Mine does not have one and I bought it used with an HKS exhaust, and was just wondering if at some point someone had a CAI on it and never put the inlet back on?

Images are often the best way for other people to understand what's going on for problem diagnosis, or even just to show off your new ride.

It's not always easy to know how to post pictures up on this site, so I've put together an easy tutorial to use Flickr (accounts are free) to post them on the forum. For other image hosting sites it's probably similar to get the code, but I've made instructions for Flickr. From your image on Flickr that you want to share, all you have to do is select "Share This" from your Flickr page, then choose "Grab the HTML/BBCode". From there highlight and copy the link from after the (img src=") tag and follow until the ("). I've posted a screenshot for reference.

You use that on this forum, to post up pictures by clicking on the little button that looks like the "mountain and moon" or whatever that little thing is. . . .like:

Then just paste what you copied into the screen that pops up. You're done!
I tried many times to resize things and use the WRXtuners interface, but it doesn't always work well for me. That's why I use Flickr now. I thought you'd all benefit from knowing as I'm sure you'll be a huge fan of the site!
