yes, it will allow your engine to rev more freely, but you lose low speed smoothness (that is the entire reason for having a large inertial weight....it balances out the power strokes of the engine, and smoothes it...)

do a light pulley, and a fidanzia flywheel....it wont stay running!

i dont reccomend it for most street cars, for good reason.
