a "bar" is the metric version of psi. 1 bar = 14.7 psi. But technically @ sea-level air pressure is 14.7 and less as altitude increases. thats why some people loose hp the further up they live. another tidbit is that boost is however many psi over atmospheric pressure. so if your boosting 17psi ## technically boosting 31.7psi
