i'd also have to second the sway bars/ end links...atleast the rears. i also have an h-brace and would recommend that as well as any other frame bracing if you're looking for a mean stiff car that hugs the road. bushings wouldn't be bad either (front and rear shifter and steering rack). they are pretty cheap and easy to install. Tires might be great for you as well. i personally go through them in 12K miles or less so i never spend much on them.

i've also been looking into DIY poting and polishing which i will start undertaking. don't know how much of a DIYer you are but there are so many options. you could do your manifold, UP, and throttle body. Doing the IC pipng and turbo would probably be a waste of time and grinding bits if you're looking to upgrade in a year.
