I would agree that one can feel it in the right foot when the A/C compressor kicks in. The worst situation is driving in bumper to bumper traffic when this is happening. However, it has been my experience that this is generally how most Japanese cars (with medium to small sized engines) have felt to me. Unlike American cars that I like to call rolling air conditioners, because it seems that they are engineered a bit differently (and operate smoother) when it comes to taking power off the engine to run. I wish I could articulate it better...
