$6.72 intake silencer & MAF hose

Here's a couple cheap mods for you. Using the same aircraft ducting that I used for my fog light brake ducts
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/ceet.php 3" ID
I also made an elbow for the snorkus delete ( I had to, for room for the brake duct on the passenger side ) perfect fit into the stock airbox, then siliconed the piece of the snorkus (sawed off) that comes through the fender into the engine bay. Took about a foot at $6.72 compared to $45.00 for the GPMoto elbow.
With another foot, I made a MAF hose. Again, a perfect fit on the stock airbox. It was slightly large on the Samco turbo inlet hose ( metal ring ) so I filled the gap with a 1" strip of heat shielding tape, as I didn't want to crush the duct hose. When bent to fit (two angles), the duct doesn't accordian inside. It stays nice and smooth for good airflow. Huge improvement over the stock piece and I saved almost $70.00 (silicone MAF hose) These kind of things help me afford more track time Here's a picture of the hose from when I did the brake ducts, versatile stuff !! Oh, I just checked, the hose went up to $7.30 per foot, bummer....
